Kürzlich wurde von Widmark und Mitarbeitern eine erste randomisierte Studie publiziert, in der der Stellenwert einer extrem hypofraktionierten stereotaktischen Strahlentherapie des Körperstamms (SBRT) beim lokalisierten Prostatakarzinom untersucht wurde [1]. Praktisch zeitgleich wurden zwei systematische Literaturrecherchen über die bisher vorliegenden Daten aus prospektiven einarmigen Studien mit SBRT veröffentlicht [2, 3].
