Tremendous discoveries made over the last 30 years have advanced our understanding of many important aspects of the genetics, proteomics, prognosis, and therapy of endocrine neoplasia. These form the basis of the 2022 WHO classification of endocrine and neuroendocrine tumors. However, there are still many unanswered questions and many unmet needs for patients. This commentary summarizes some of the questions and challenges for endocrine pathologists to address in the coming 5 years. …
