Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass has become a rather common operation. The cost of this procedure is a significant drawback[1, 3]. Expenses per case vary, depending on the technique [2] and on the country. The major cost is the staple material [4], which has been used for all the techniques described to date. We designed a new Roux-en-Y gastric bypass technique without one single staple, thereby reducing the cost dramatically. …
