Auszug

Nach brusterhaltender Operation invasiver Mammakarzinome im frühen Stadium wurde in der ELIOT-Studie eine konventionelle Ganzbrustbestrahlung (WBI) samt anschließendem perkutanem Tumorbettboost mit einer Teilbrustbestrahlung mit intraoperativ verabreichten Elektronen in einem randomisiert prospektiven Phase-III-Design untersucht. Onkologische Ergebnisse wurden erstmals 2013 veröffentlicht [1]. Die vorliegende Arbeit berichtet über Langzeitresultate nach einer medianen Nachbeobachtung von nunmehr 12,4 Jahren [2]. …
