To date, laser light is widely used with several applications in different medical fields, from surgery, where lasers are used for ablation and cutting, to the biostimulation of tissues, where intracellular photophysical and photochemical events, rather than heating, are pursued. This last circumstance is currently known as photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy [1]. PBM can be exploited with different types of devices, i.e., light-emitting diodes (LED) and lasers; the last is the most studied worldwide [25], although also LED devices are spreading and its use becomes more frequent [6]. …
