To date, laser light is widely used with several applications in different medical fields, from surgery, where lasers are used for ablation and cutting, to the biostimulation of tissues, where intracellular photophysical and photochemical events, rather than heating, are pursued. This last circumstance is currently known as photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy [
