Like many pediatric radiologists, my eyes brighten when I see a new text on pediatric musculoskeletal radiology. There has not been a comprehensive text since Dr. Ozonoff’s book in 1992, and this is a shame. The task is not small, and we all await another book from our colleagues. In the meantime, we are blessed with more focused reviews and casebooks. In the last 5 years, casebooks of radiology have been published with increasing frequency, with the Amirsys series being the most successful. Each medical publisher dips its bucket into this endless well. Springer’s new Pediatric and Adolescent Musculoskeletal MRI by Drs. Han and Kleinman is a wonderful new book, one that only disappoints because it isn’t longer and more extensive. …
