In August 2007, the Research Triangle Institute-University of North Carolina (RTI-UNC) Center of Excellence in Health Promotion Economics, a joint venture of RTI International and the UNC at Chapel Hill, hosted a 2-day conference on conjoint analysis in health. The meeting was a first-of-its-kind event, bringing together a diverse group of researchers from the fields of medicine, public health, marketing, and health economics. The event enjoyed sponsorships from Sawtooth Software (Sequim, WA, USA), Novartis (Basel, Switzerland), Wolters Kluwer Health (Conshohocken, PA, USA), and three entities from the UNC at Chapel Hill: The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research; The School of Medicine; and the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science. …
