Calcinosis cutis is characterised by aberrant calcium deposition in the skin and subcutaneous tissue [
1]. The clinical presentation can vary from localised papules and nodules to debilitating lesions involving large areas of the body [
2]. Idiopathic calcinosis cutis, (a rare subtype) is of unknown cause with normal serum calcium levels. It is important to know the various presentations of the idiopathic type to diagnose the case early and thus avoiding unnecessary investigations.
