While the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LIRADS) classification scheme has gained widespread acceptance, the cumulative incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) within each diagnostic category remains poorly defined, and the ACR has called for further studies to define the frequencies within these populations.1 As a result, there is considerable uncertainty related to the management of indeterminate observations, especially with LIRADS 3 and 4 observations. To this end, we sought to quantify the cumulative frequency of HCCs within high and intermediate LIRADS categories in as unbiased a fashion as possible. …
