The article by Tebbit et al. provides an important contribution to the literature on standardizing the practice of collecting tissue core biopsies for genomic studies. As the trend in oncology treatment emphasizes personalized medicine, genomic studies are no longer of academic interest only but are poised to take on a central role in clinical decision-making.
