Gastric cancer (GC) is the 5th most common cancer and the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide [
1]. Gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy is considered the standard surgical treatment for locally advanced GC [
2]. Recently, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (CMT) has been indicated for patients with T3/T4 tumors and/or lymph node involvement (N+) [

Schistosoma species and is considered one of the most socio-economically devastating parasitic diseases worldwide [
