Rapid socioeconomic growth in developing countries is increasing the exposure to risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD), such as diabetes, genetic factors, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, and smoking [1]. Notwithstanding the increasing attention to prevention there will be a growth in the demand for fast, widespread and accurate methods for the assessment of CAD to confront this impending epidemic and counteract it with accurate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. …
