As the recently appointed Editor-in-Chief, I am pleased to present the final issue of the JBI for 2008. I would like to thank both the Editorial Board and the Editorial Committee for the opportunity to take part in this interdisciplinary venture. The generosity of vision instilled in the principles of the Journal is laudable. I am looking forward to fully engaging in the joint effort of furthering the aims and goals of the Journal, particularly as several long-term initiatives come to fruition. …
