Wewould like to thank Drs. Jacob and Varughese for their thoughtful engagement with our review study [1] on the effects of newer-generation anti-diabetic agents on diabetic retinopathy (DR). It is gratifying to note that our work is fostering interdisciplinary discussions between endocrinologists and ophthalmologists, a collaborative approach we firmly advocate for the future of the field.
