Patient-centered outcomes research is a relatively new field, therefore it is an impressive achievement to be considered a pioneer at this early stage. Deborah Marshall, PhD, has become an active and prolific contributor to patient-centered research, pioneering the use of conjoint analysis methodologies in healthcare in order to appropriately measure preferences, better understand patient choices, and engage patients in the decision-making process. Adequate development of such tools is vital to the future of this field. …
