Malignant tumors and the immune system are closely associated, and tumor-related inflammation is an important host-related factor that may affect the prognosis of patients with tumors.
1 In recent years, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), which originate from neutrophils, have received much attention for their role in tumor biology.
2 In patients with extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (EHCC), preoperative cholangitis often occurs due to obstruction of the bile ducts, and some studies have reported that patients who develop preoperative cholangitis have a poor prognosis.
