Since the dawn of blood pressure (BP) measurement, physicians observed that in some patients their mere presence could raise BP values [1]; this phenomenon named “white-coat hypertension” (WCH) [2], more prevalent among older women [3], is produced by an hyperactivation of the sympathetic nervous system [4] leading sometimes to a false diagnosis or to an over-treatment of a pseudoresistant arterial hypertension. …
