The Fagerstrom Test for Cigarette Dependence (FTCD) has been used in a few studies investigating nicotine dependence and smoking cessation [14]. One of the key items in the FTCD is “How soon after waking up do you smoke your first cigarette?” also known as “Time to first cigarette (TTFC)“ [1, 5]. A prior study found that individuals with a shorter TTFC showed higher levels of the metabolite 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanol (NNAL), a metabolite of nicotine-derived nitrosamine ketone (NNK) [6]. …

Keynote webinar | Spotlight on medication adherence

Live: Thursday 27th June 2024, 18:00-19:30 (CEST)

WHO estimates that half of all patients worldwide are non-adherent to their prescribed medication. The consequences of poor adherence can be catastrophic, on both the individual and population level.

Join our expert panel to discover why you need to understand the drivers of non-adherence in your patients, and how you can optimize medication adherence in your clinics to drastically improve patient outcomes.
