Abstract

Introduction

The surgical management of glaucoma has evolved over time.

Case report

This report describes the first ever case, to our knowledge, of bilateral Scheie’s procedures performed with retention of an ophthalmic viscoelastic device and intraoperative and post-operative 5-fluorouracil injections.

Discussion

These procedures have now successfully controlled the intraocular pressure in both of the patient’s eyes for more than 17 years.
