The association between tumor progression and coagulation status has long been explored.1 Researchers have reported that certain platelet parameters and fibrinogen could be used as prognosis indicators for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC);2 however, the majority of the studies focused on independent prognostic factors, and hence the potential prognostic role of the combination of these parameters has not been fully explored. There is an urgent need to identify these biomarkers as prognostic predictors and to develop an integrated prediction model for clinicians. …
