To the Editor—Fecal incontinence is a significant health care problem with over 5 percent of adults reporting symptoms and approximately 1 percent experiencing symptoms which restrict their life.1 Moreover, it is well known that fecal incontinence can seriously impact the quality of life of patients. Therefore, its evaluation is one of the most important issues in the management of this common disease.2
