One of the most important aspects of the gastroenterology (GI) fellowship match process is the interview. Although the exact weight of the interview process relative to other considerations may vary from program to program, a subpar interview could negatively impact your position on the rank list, whereas a stellar interview could solidify your rank or even move you higher up on the list. In this article, we will provide advice to prospective interviewees intended to improve the quality of and impact of the interview while decreasing the considerable stress that surrounds the process, with the aim of matching the candidate to the program that is best suited to their needs and is most conducive to their ultimate success. …
