Excerpt

18FDG/13NH3 PET imaging has recently been shown to be useful for evaluating the status of the cardiac damage as well as predicting the reversibility of the cardiac wall motion abnormality in inflammatory diseases such as cardiac sarcoidosis [1]. We were able to evaluate cardiac 18FDG/13NH3 PET imaging before and after treatment in a patient with another inflammatory disease, Churg-Strauss syndrome, in which there is systemic vasculitis with eosinophilic infiltration.
