Until 27 April 2006, there have been seven reports of amenorrhoea associated with the use of olanzapine received by the Netherlands Pharmacovigilance Center Lareb. The time to reaction onset ranged from a few weeks to 10 months, and the patient outcome was reported in three cases; one patient recovered after the drug was discontinued, and two patients did not recover. Furthermore, four of the seven patients were concomitantly receiving a benzodiazepine, and one patient also experienced hyperprolactinaemia. …
