Professor Tunçalp Özgen, who was one of the forefront pioneers of microneurosurgery in Turkey, was lost on March 8, 2019, at the age of 73. Prof. Özgen is widely recognized as one of the most prominent names in the history of Turkish neurosurgery as well as a great educator who dedicated his life to promoting scientific method, knowledge, and education. His work was centered on increasing the scientific excellence both in his own university, in Turkey and worldwide. …
