A 59-year-old female with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) with cardiac resynchronization therapy and a left ventricular assist device (LVAD HeartMate II) implanted 6 months earlier as bridge to transplantation for a non-ischemic cardiomyopathy with end-stage heart failure was admitted in front of a purulent flow at the level of the driveline exit site without fever, vascular, or immunologic phenomena. …
