Entitled as its namesake suggests, JARG enters the new year with as much hope and promise to deliver our readership as we do concerns. Both assisted reproductive technologies (or medically assisted reproduction as referred to by some) and genetics are now poised in this fifth decade of existence to change the face of far more than the diagnosis and treatment of disorders recognized or not to be the root cause of human infertility. With the ever-increasing blurring of research discipline boundaries for stem cells, organoids, epigenetics, molecular evolution, artificial intelligence and regenerative medicine, what lies ahead as both discovery-based and clinically-adaptable innovation is a tale yet to be told and fraught with concerns shared by our stakeholder collective. …
