Time flies. Harvey Cox came to national attention in 1965 as the 36-year-old author of an acclaimed book, The Secular City. He was one of the Young Turks, a critic of established religion, sometimes (unfairly in my view) associated with the briefly fashionable Death of God theologians including William Hamilton, Thomas Altizer, and Richard Rubenstein.
