In this article, the pioneering work of bradypacing in the Netherlands will be described. It roughly covers the period from 1960 to 1982. More extensive clinical details can be found in Thalen's thesis1 and important symposium reports from those days.2,3 The organisational aspects and personal involvement of many specialists were recently discussed.4 …
