Primary bone tumors are rare. It is estimated that 3010 individuals (1680 male and 1330 female) were diagnosed with malignancies of bone and joints in 2013 in the United States. [
1] The yearly incidence is about 0.9 per 100,000. In comparison, the 2013 incidence of prostate and breast cancer was estimated to be 238,590 and 234,580 respectively. [
