Thanks and Appreciation to Reviewers

In my brief time as editor of this journal, I have learned how indispensable reviewers are to the process of academic publishing. While the role of the authors is essential and that of the editorial staff readily apparent, the reviewers—by agreement—work behind the scenes without open acknowledgement. This is a fact I previously understood but only now deeply appreciate. We are all busy fulfilling demands coming from many directions. It is easy to decline a request to review and thus an act of commitment to our profession to accept it. To the many reviewers whose acceptances of such requests contributed to the quality of the journal this year, I am immensely grateful. …
