Sentinel lymph node (SLN) identification is required for accurate prognostication for patients with head and neck melanoma.
1 In clinical practice, identifying SLNs can be challenging. This is particularly true for patients with head and neck melanomas, which are associated with higher rates of false negative biopsies.
