The Society of Surgical Oncology Heritage Award was begun in 2001 to honor former presidents of the society. Each year, the past, past president is allowed to select the former president that they wish to honor. Past honorees have included Drs. Charles Balch, Sam Wells, Blake Cady, Don Morton, Walter Lawrence, and Lasalle Lefalle. This year, I wanted to honor Dr. Edward M.
