We present a 52-year-old female who underwent a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) on April 23, 2018, for morbid obesity with a body mass index (BMI) of 40.5 kg/m2. The procedure was uneventful and the patient was discharged on postoperative day 2. Outpatient follow-up was unremarkable 1 week later. From that point forward, the patient would continue to progress favorably. …
