A perineal sinus, a blind-ending tract opening onto the perineum, is a recognized complication of excisional perineal surgery [
1]. Excisional surgery leaves a dead space within the pelvis which discharges through the perineal wound, creating a tract. It is defined as persistent if it remains unhealed 6 months after surgery [
