The Second Molecular Surgeon Symposium was held at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, on September 13, 2003. The focus of this symposium was pancreatic and other cancers. Thirteen nationally recognized surgeons and scientists, with outstanding accomplishments and expertise in cancer research or other diseases, participated as guest speakers in this exciting forum. The speakers were invited from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine, The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and Baylor College of Medicine. The symposium was co-sponsored by a NIH grant (R13 CA101889-01) and the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine. …
