Patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), following an infection by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), seem to have an increased risk of thrombotic events (TE), both arterial and venous [
