In the early 1970s, when I was trained in plastic surgery, the knowledge in aesthetic surgery was very limited and it was even more difficult to get training, especially in rhinoplasty. At that time the textbook of H.J. Deneke and his co-author Rodolphe Meyer represented the gold standard in rhinoplasty; so in Europe Rodolphe Meyer became “the” teacher in rhinoplasty. …
