I am writing in response to the comments from Dr. Siani and colleagues on our recent study [1]. Dr. Siani describes an interesting case with entrapment of the stripper into the proximal deep venous system. This case report shows that varicose vein surgery is combined with an additional risk, to our knowledge not previously described in the literature. It is a complication we did not identify during our extensive literature research. …
