The point made by Dr. Wybier is well taken. Research performed by our copy editor confirms indeed that the word “septae” does not exist in several dictionaries that were consulted. It may be of interest to add that in “Google” the word “septae” has a listing of over 49,000 hits, which of course does not make it correct, but indicates that more and more people, including scientists, are using this term. …
