The malar bone is a complex three-dimensional structure from which the powerful masseter muscle originates. Understanding the beauty of the malar bone can be complicated depending on plastic surgeon’s geographic or cultural backgrounds and sometimes the surgeon’s point of view. The surgeon’s point of view is very important because a minor misunderstanding can be the starting point for irreversible mishaps to patients. It is a matter of concept, not technique. …
