Recurrent inguinal hernia due to mesh dissolution: two case reports

Abstract

The recurrence of inguinal or other abdominal hernia due to Prolene polypropylene mesh dissolution has never been reported in the literature. This is a report of two cases of recurrent inguinal hernias after mesh hernioplasty, but, on exploration, no mesh was found.
