Excerpt

Since the initial description of endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair in 1991, the field of vascular surgery has undergone a rapid transformation that has affected all aspects of the specialty. What was initially a procedure offered only to select patients has now evolved into the treatment of choice for a wide range of aortic pathology. The authors present their experience in primarily treating ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms with endoluminal methods. This report represents one of the largest single-center reports in the medical literature, with results comparable with those of other recently reported single-center series.13
