Primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the dura mimicking a meningioma with intervening skull bone invasion

Primary dural lymphoma (PDL), which arising primarily from the dura mater without leptomeningeal, parenchymal brain or systemic involvement, is a rare disease that accounts for less than 1 % of all brain lymphomas [1]. Reported cases of intracranial PDL are typically low-grade B-cell lymphomas, such as extranodal marginal zone lymphoma subtypes or follicular lymphoma subtypes. Primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the dura mater, a high-grade subtype of PDL, is extremely rare [2]. Herein, we report an unusual case of primary dural involvement by a DLBCL with imaging features mimicking a meningioma. …
