Sir: Our group is very interested in the use of pressure-volume (PV) curves as a research tool and as a clinical aid in the management of ARDS patients, so it is with great interest that we read “Early patterns of static pressure-volume loops in ARDS and their relations with PEEP-induced recruitment” by Dr. Vieillard-Baron et al.
