Of all cancers in India, 1.6–4.8 % cancers occur in children less than 15 years of age [1]. Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer in India with the relative proportion varying between 25 and 40 %. 60–80 % percent of all leukemias are acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
