In an open observational study, two patients [sex not stated] were described who developed weight gain during treatment with prednisolone [duration of treatment to reactions onsets and outcome not stated]. A 3-year-old child and a 13-year-old adolescent received prednisolone dose of 2 mg/kg for alopecia areata. Further planned for tapering dose below 6 mg/m2/day within nine weeks. However, in the first six weeks of treatment with prednisolone, both the patients experienced weight gain. …
