Background: The popular perception that Natural Products [NPs] (manufactured from herbs or with a natural origin) are ‘natural’ (and therefore safer than traditional medicine) is growing among pregnant women; for this reason the use of NPs is not generally communicated to the physicians, pharmacists or midwives.
