Background: The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are involved in many drug-drug interactions because of their pharmacokinetic properties. Many of SSRIs are metabolised by cytochrome P450 isoenzymes and they can inhibit the activity of isoenzymes that metabolise other concomitantly used drugs in polytherapy. …
