The USA FDA has published a safety announcement warning that treatment of actinic keratosis with ingenol mebutate (Picato gel) may cause severe allergic reactions or shingles (Herpes zoster). Cases of Picato gel-associated severe eye injuries and skin reactions have also been reported, in some cases when the gel was not used in accordance with the instructions on the label. …
